Listen to: Red Molly “Clinch River Blues”

Red Molly, a trio of Laurie MacAllister (bass,) Abbie Gardner (dobro,) and Molly Venter (guitar) is celebrating their 10th anniversary as a band with the latest “The Red Album” (set for digital release on April 1 and physical release on May 27). Straying gently from their traditional folk roots with a little more edge and produced by Ken Coomer (original drummer for Wilco & Uncle Tupelo) the album will also include the long-awaited cover of their namesake, Richard Thompson’s “1952 Vincent Black Lightning”. Check out the opening track, “Clinch River Blues” below.
