Roundup: Brandi Carlile Covers Everybody

We were going to post this video of Brandi Carlile working up Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” because it combined two great talents and came with a great story about how she “geeked out” after meeting Lindsey Buckingham backstage.

In our search for said clip, we were reminded of some of the many other various covers that Brandi and the band have pulled out on stage over the years. Of course there’s “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Creep” and “Hallelujah” which she performs frequently but there’s just so much more to listen to and enjoy.

That said, we’re bringing back the “Roundup” segment of Uncommon Music with this, “Brandi Carlile Covers Everybody” and by everybody we mean John Prine, Elvis, Dolly Parton, Joni Mitchell, Patty Griffin, The Rolling Stones and nearly every great country song in rolled into one.
