Though the day was long, the sun was hot and parking was a nightmare (The New Backyard’s huge on-site parking lot is not finished), it was the all-star line-up headlined by none other than the picnic’s host—Willie Nelson, who finally took the stage just after midnight with a large collection of guests for “This Land Is Your Land,” that enticed music lovers to stick around and see the show full of greatest hits and legends like Kris Kristofferson, Leon Russell and Ray Price as well as younger acts (Los Lonely Boys, Del Castillo) and Willie’s kin (Folk Uke with Amy, Paula and the Guilty Pleasures and Micah’s band, The Reflectacles).
