Holding titles like “Queen of Rock,” and “First Lady of Rockabilly,” Wanda Jackson helped pioneer rock ‘n’ roll. And at 72, her voice still has the power and signature rasp.
With her upcoming record (produced by Jack White) hitting shelves soon she played a showcase at The Palm Lounge during SXSW including some classics (“Let’s Have A Party,” “Rock You, Baby”), stories about Elvis, and a fabulous rendition of her new single, Amy Winehouses’ “You Know I’m No Good.”
