Monolith Festival 2009

Beats Antique

We’re at Red Rocks covering the Monolith Festival. Check back for updates as they come in.

Saturday
2:50 – Gregory Alan Isakov pictures are up – he just finished his main stage set.

A few photos of Speak Easy Tiger are also up in the main gallery.

4:00 – Danielle Ate the Sandwich was on the MadeLoud.com stage with her ukulele and Dennis, the bassist.

5:05 – It’s only 48 degrees – and raining.

7:19 – Caitlin Rose sounds like a twenty-something version of Nanci Griffith-twang. Loved it.

6:30 – M. Ward just started out with Sad Sad Song.

9:45 – Of Montreal and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs – both entirely must see shows.

Sunday

3:18 – The Beats Antique are over on the MadeLoud stage – mixing fiddle, DJs and belly-dancing.

4:00 – Dandy Warhols on the main stage, singing Legend of the Last of the Outlaw Truckers.

6:20 – Method Man & Redman are onstage now, Phoenix has been moved to the main stage at 7:45 and Passion Pit is now at 7 on the Southern Comfort stage. Rachel Goodrich is at 7:15.

7:35 – Miami’s Rachel Goodrich and her “Laughing Empanadas” are over on the Made Loud Stage now.

8:00 – Phoenix is on the main stage, with strobe lights. And it’s starting to rain.

9:56 – Mars Volta is closing the festival, right now.
