As students finished final exams and started preparing for the winter holiday, legendary keyboardist Ian McLagan (Faces, Small Faces) stopped by the University of Texas’ intimate Cactus Café to share songs and stories.

Taking a break from his regular happy hour show at the Lucky Lounge and without the Bump Band (though Jon Notarthomas did join him for a few songs), Ian showcased tunes from his latest record Never Say Never such as Where Angels Hide, When The Crying is Over and I Will Follow.
He also featured a variety of covers ranging from Ronnie Lane numbers ( Debris , Little Girl) to Little Walter’s Temperature and Ray Charles’ Funny (But I Still Love You).
Between songs, he kept the audience laughing with great tales from his musical and personal life with tales of living in Los Angeles, the ups and downs of the music industry, Howlin’ Wolf and the two parking tickets he received that evening.
